Leslie 812 & 814

812

Main Features

These Leslie Speakers are designed to fully enhance the total sound of multi-channel organs using digital sound-producing technology. Designed specifically for three-channel applications, the addition of two stationary channels to the rotary speaker system highlights the richness and texture of the entire organ.

In the Rotary channel, the sound is separated with the highs reproduced by a horn rotor and the lows reproduced by a bass rotor. Both rotors can be operated in three positions: Fast (Tremolo), Slow (Chorale) or Off.

The Left and Right Stationary channels are matched full-range channels designed to enhance organs or sound modules with Left and Right or stereo output channels, such as Hammond Organ model 926, or models XB-3M and XC-3M.

The Stationary channels incorporate three separate amplifiers for total coverage of the musical spectrum. One powers the pedal and bass tones reproduced by a 12 woofer in a bass-reflex enclosure. The other two amplifiers drive mid-range and treble tones to two 6 9 extended range speakers directed out the front of the cabinet and two 1 dome tweeters.

Additional controls provided on the back of the cabinet allow you to independently adjust the volume and tone of all three channels to create your own custom response curve. A custom Y adapter is available if it is desired to add a second cabinet and thereby provide true Left and Right stereo separation.

The 812 and 814 are electrically identical; however, the 812 is finished in medium Oak, while the 814 is finished in Walnut. Also, the 812 is factory-calibrated for optimum performance with the Hammond 926 Classic Organ, while the 814 is set up for the XB-3M and XC-3M Hammond Organs.
